Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 14, 2026 · Reserve Your Date, a registered fictitious name (d/b/a) of a Florida corporation (“we,” “us”)
The short version
- We collect what you type into the application — phone number, name, the numbers you swore were accurate — and nothing behind your back.
- No ad trackers, no analytics pixels, no cookies except the ones that log you in. We couldn't retarget you if we wanted to.
- Your phone number goes to exactly one third party: the company that delivers our texts. Nobody's data is ever sold.
- Text STOP and the texts stop. Email us and the data goes.
- 18+ only. The queue does not babysit.
The short version is a summary. The sections below are the policy.
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Reserve Your Date websites and SMS program and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
We collect information only when you voluntarily provide it:
- Your phone number, which you verify with a one-time code and which becomes how we reach you.
- Application details you choose to share: name, height, weight, interests, how you found us, your self-assessed toxicity rating, and your signature scribble.
- Messages you send us by texting our number, which are stored so the review board can read them in the order received.
- Your email address, if you join the early-access list on our homepage.
- Consent records — when you accept our terms and SMS program, we log the time, your IP address, and the version of the terms you accepted, because proving you said yes protects both of us.
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or fingerprinting. The only cookies we set are functional (session and access cookies); your theme preference lives in your own browser and never reaches us. Standard server logs (IP address, request time) exist for security and rate limiting.
2. How we use your information
To run the waitlist you joined: sending the SMS messages described in our SMS Terms & Conditions (verification codes, queue updates, review notices, service announcements, replies), reviewing applications, preventing abuse, and sending early-access invitations if you gave us your email. That's the list.
3. Who we share it with
Service providers who process data on our behalf, under their own confidentiality obligations: our SMS delivery provider (to send and receive texts), our database host (to store it), and our web host (to serve the site). We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy follows the data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Mobile opt-in data — your phone number and SMS consent — is never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes. Ever.
4. Opting out
To stop receiving texts, reply STOP — or just tell us to stop in plain words; we honor any reasonable revocation. Once you opt out we send no further SMS messages (beyond one confirmation), and your number stays exactly where it was: with us and our delivery provider, and nowhere else.
5. Retention & deletion
We keep your application and message history while your spot in the queue exists (the queue is long; see estimated wait times), and we retain consent and message records for up to five years as telemarketing recordkeeping rules require. If you want your information deleted, email info@reserveyourdate.com and we will verify and honor the request promptly — this is the one queue we process immediately. (Records we must keep by law, such as opt-out suppression entries, are retained as required.)
6. Your privacy rights
Wherever you live in the US, you can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@reserveyourdate.com. We verify requests (usually by confirming control of the phone number or email on file), respond within 45 days, and do not discriminate against you for asking. We honor these requests regardless of whether a particular state statute technically compels us to — it's your information.
7. Age policy
The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not direct any part of the Service to children. If we learn that someone under 18 has submitted information, we delete it. If you believe a minor has used the Service, email info@reserveyourdate.com.
8. Security
Your information is stored with reputable cloud infrastructure providers, transmitted over encrypted connections, and accessible only to the review board. We do not store payment information, because nothing here costs money. Waiting is free. No system is perfectly secure, but ours holds very little worth stealing — we've made sure of that on purpose.
9. A note about meeting people
Privacy includes physical privacy. If the waitlist ever produces an actual date, share personal details slowly, meet in public, and read the Safety Tips. We facilitate the queue; we are not present for — and are not responsible for — what happens when it finally moves.
10. Changes to this policy
We may periodically update this policy. Material changes will be announced with a prominent notice on this site (and, knowing us, possibly a text), with the effective date above updated accordingly.
